FDOT Scheduler

Position Overview:
KEITH is seeking an FDOT Scheduler to join our team onsite at the FDOT District Four Office. This position will provide project scheduling support for a variety of transportation projects within District Four.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting FDOT or similar transportation project schedules, particularly pre-construction activities, and will assist FDOT Project Managers and Program Services with schedule development, maintenance, reporting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage transportation project schedules for planning, design, right-of-way, and construction activities.
  • Assist the Program Services section with the administration and maintenance of FDOT District Four project schedules.
  • Serve as a point of contact for various scheduling projects and assignments.
  • Support FDOT Project Managers in resolving schedule-related issues.
  • Create and maintain monthly production reports to support transportation projections.
  • Attend project schedule discovery and coordination meetings.
  • Define project schedule tasks, prepare and set up new schedules, and customize project templates as needed.
  • Perform schedule trending analysis and provide recommendations to improve current processes and procedures.
  • Use independent judgment to determine resources and technical approaches required to complete assigned tasks.
  • Assist with regular schedule reporting functions for all FDOT District Four offices.
  • Lead coordination efforts to help project teams establish and organize project schedules.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of relevant scheduling experience.
  • Experience with FDOT project scheduling and pre-construction activities.
  • Knowledge of logical relationships between pre-construction activities and transportation project timelines.
  • Experience supporting transportation or civil engineering project schedules.
  • Ability to assist in resolving schedule issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Experience creating reports, project templates, and performing trending analysis.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient user of Primavera scheduling software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF programs.
  • Ability to lead diverse project teams through the process of setting up project schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with FDOT staff and project teams.
