Water Resources Engineer
KEITH is seeking a skilled and motivated Water Resources Engineer to join our dynamic Team and strengthen our growing firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing projects related to water resource management, including flood control, stormwater management, and water quality improvement. Our mission is to design resilient and environmentally conscious stormwater solutions that enhance communities and protect natural resources.
What you'll do:
- Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to design water resource management systems, including stormwater drainage, flood control, and erosion prevention.
- Develop, review, and modify designs and plans for water resource infrastructure, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare project reports, technical memoranda, and design documents, presenting findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize software tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, ICPR, ArcGIS) to model and simulate water systems, conducting impact analyses and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate water resources solutions with civil engineering and environmental projects.
- Support permitting processes by preparing documentation and liaising with regulatory agencies.
- Participate in site assessments, inspections, and field studies to gather data and monitor project progress.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Ideal Civil Engineer Candidate Has:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- EIT or PE in Florida
- Ability to multi-task under rigid deadlines
- Pro-active, enthusiastic, self-starter with a good attitude who pays attention to details and is willing to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential, as is the ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels
