KEITH is seeking an AutoCAD Technician Intern to join our team for the Summer of 2025 at our Pompano Beach, FL office. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in AutoCAD drafting and design within a collaborative environment. As an AutoCAD Technician Intern, you will support the design and drafting process across a range of civil engineering projects for both public and private-sector clients, including site development, stormwater management, utility design, grading, and more. You'll be reporting directly to our CAD Manager, assisting with project drafting and design, and learning valuable skills to further your career in CAD technology.

What you'll learn:

• AutoCAD Design and Drafting: Assist in creating detailed AutoCAD drawings and plans for site development, grading, utilities, and other civil engineering projects.
• Project Design Support: Contribute to site design, stormwater management, water/wastewater design, traffic analysis, and grading and drainage design.
• Engineering Calculations: Learn to support engineering teams with basic calculations and data analysis.
• Collaboration Across Disciplines: Gain experience working closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to support project deliverables and timelines.
• Exposure to the Full Design Process: Participate in design and production meetings, gaining insight into project coordination and how different engineering disciplines collaborate.

The Ideal Intern is:

• Currently pursuing an education in CAD design, Drafting, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of using AutoCAD software (Civil 3D is a plus) and eager to apply design skills to real-world projects
• Proactive, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to the drafting and design process.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Bluebeam.
